Andrew Ure is Head of Trade and Economic Affairs in Asia-Pacific for Google. In this role he oversees Google's relationships with regional trade bodies such as APEC and ASEAN, and manages research into the economic and social impact of the internet. Prior to this he was Managing Director of OgilvyEarth Australia, a sustainability consultancy based in Sydney. He previously spent eight years in the foreign ministry of the Australian Government, where he worked on multilateral climate change negotiations and was posted to the Australian Embassy in Tehran. He has degrees from Oxford University and Australian National University and lives in Hong Kong.
