The biennial Trade and Sustainable Development Symposium, organised by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and held alongside the WTO ministerial conference for over a decade, is the leading multi-stakeholder platform for intellectual enquiry and dialogue on sustainable development and the global trade and investment system. It acts as an inclusive platform outside of the WTO negotiating setting for sharing ideas, engaging in dialogue, and influencing trade policy negotiations. Drawing in participants from government, business and civil society, the Symposium helps to maintain and elaborate a global vision of sustainable development in trade and investment policymaking.

Anna Jerzewska is a free trade agreements specialist with a combination of private sector, policy and academic experience. She currently works as a global trade and customs consultant in the private sector, advising clients across a number of industries on a wide range of global trade issues: customs classification, customs valuation, origin determination, etc.
Anna specialises in FTAs, rules of origin and trade policy and runs the www.freetradeagreements.co.uk website. She works with a number of IOs on ways of establishing dialogue and promoting cooperation between different actors within the global trade space and the importance of involving the private sector in the policy-making process.
Anna holds a PhD in International Political Economy with a specialisation in Free Trade Agreements in East Asia.
