Oskar Stenström is State Secretary to the Minister for EU Affairs and Trade, Mrs. Ann Linde, at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Sweden with the responsibility for EU affairs, trade policy, EU single market as well as promotion of trade, investment and Sweden. From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Stenström was State Secretary to the Minister for Enterprise and Innovation, Mr. Mikael Damberg.
Since 1994 Oscar Stenström has been actively involved in the Swedish Social Democratic Party, mainly focusing on foreign policy issues. From 2007 to 2014, State Secretary Stenström was the Foreign Policy Secretary to party chair Mrs. Mona Sahlin, Principal Secretary to Mrs. Margot Wallström and Mr. Jan Eliasson as well as Foreign Policy Secretary to the party chair (now Prime Minister) Mr. Stefan Löfven.
State Secretary Stenström holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Economics and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Mr. Stenström is married and has two children
